Tinotenda Hove – Zimbabwean Zimdancehall performer Van Choga has drawn attention on social media after sharing a video of himself mimicking the “2030 NseyaEmmerson” song shortly after President Emmerson Mnangagwa signed the controversial Constitutional Amendment Bill into law on Tuesday.

The artist, whose real name is Valentine Simbarashe Choga, hails from Arcadia in Harare and is widely recognised for his energetic stage performances and distinctive personality within Zimbabwe’s dancehall scene.

Van Choga also took to Facebook where he echoed the song’s message, writing: “2030 ndeya Emmason Mnangagwa baba vedu President vedu.. Sir Wicknell.”

His post quickly attracted reactions online, with social media users expressing mixed views over the timing and political undertones of the message following the enactment of the Constitutional Amendment Bill.
