By A Correspondent – A 28-year-old man from Bindura has been arrested after police discovered human skulls and other remains at his residence.
Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed that the suspect, identified as Alfred Chinjiva, was first taken into custody on Monday at a mine in Bindura for possessing articles suspected to be used in criminal activities. He was allegedly found in possession of a dummy pistol at the time of his arrest.
Following the initial arrest, police officers carried out a search at Chinjiva’s home in Chipandura Park, where they uncovered several human remains.
According to police, the items recovered included skulls, bones wrapped in various pieces of cloth, buckets containing skeletal remains, and plastic containers holding soil mixed with what is believed to be human bones and hair.
Authorities have not released further information regarding the origin of the remains or the circumstances surrounding their possession. Investigations are continuing
