Sports Correspondent — Arsenal have been crowned Premier League champions for the first time since the 2003-04 season, sealing a long-awaited return to the summit of English football on Tuesday.
The Gunners’ 14th league title was confirmed after Manchester City, the defending champions, could only manage a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth. The result left City unable to catch Mikel Arteta’s side with one game left to play.
Arsenal now lead the table on 82 points, sitting five points clear of City in second. It marks the club’s first top-flight championship in over two decades and adds to their storied history in English football.
The North London club will wrap up their campaign with an away fixture against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
