ZUJ Mourns the Passing of GZU Radio Presenter Tavita Natasha Mpala

Tinotenda Hove – The Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) Masvingo Chapter has expressed deep sorrow following the sudden death of Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) Campus Radio producer and presenter, Tavita Natasha Mpala.

In a heartfelt statement released on Saturday, ZUJ described the late Mpala as a “talented, energetic, and passionate” media professional whose death has left the fraternity in shock.

“It is with great shock and sadness that the Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) Masvingo Chapter received news of the untimely passing of Tavita Natasha Mpala, a talented producer and presenter at Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) Campus Radio,” the statement read.

According to GZU, Mpala collapsed at work earlier in the day and sadly passed away soon after.

ZUJ added: “We remember her as an energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate individual who brought her best to everything she did. Well-known in the media fraternity and not only in Masvingo, Tavita’s passing leaves a deep void and many will miss her voice on air. The media fraternity has lost a very good and passionate young soul.”

The union extended its heartfelt condolences to Mpala’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

“May her soul rest in peace,” the statement concluded.
