Tinotenda Hove – Chinese President Xi Jinping has sharply criticised the United States following the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, accusing Washington of undermining global stability through unilateral actions.
Xi said the current international environment is increasingly unstable due to what he described as the aggressive use of power by dominant nations. “The world today is fraught with turmoil, and unilateral hegemonic bullying is severely impacting international order,” he said.
The Chinese leader argued that powerful countries often impose rules on others while exempting themselves, a practice Beijing believes is particularly evident in international politics and security matters.
Xi’s remarks reflect China’s long-standing opposition to what it views as US interference in the internal affairs of other states and its broader criticism of Western dominance in global governance.
