Tinotenda Hove- Police in Nyazura have arrested 34-year-old Maria Munetsi Zhuwaki in connection with a case of concealment of birth, an incident that has since shocked the local community.

According to police reports, Zhuwaki allegedly gave birth to a stillborn baby boy on 5 November 2025. She is accused of placing the infant’s body into a bucket before burying it in a shallow grave in a bushy area near Goneso Village.

The matter came to light after villagers raised suspicions, prompting authorities to investigate. Police have since exhumed the remains for further examination as part of the ongoing inquiry.
