Tinotenda Hove – Renowned Zimbabwean eye surgeon Dr Solomon Guramatunhu has pledged lifetime free eye care to Nyasha Chishiri, the young woman who captured national attention after being praised by global internet star IShowSpeed during his recent visit to Zimbabwe.

The gesture followed a viral video in which IShowSpeed complimented Nyasha, affectionately calling her “Wakanaka,” a moment that sparked widespread admiration online. After seeing the clip, Dr Guramatunhu reportedly requested that the message be conveyed to her.

According to journalist Hopewell Chin’ono, Dr Guramatunhu said Nyasha would receive free eye consultations and treatment for as long as he continues practising in Zimbabwe.
“As long as he is still practising in Zimbabwe, she will have free access to medical eye care and consultations,” Chin’ono said.

“If she ever needs spectacles, his practice will also cover the cost.”
Dr Guramatunhu, who has long championed natural hair and self-confidence, said the offer was his way of celebrating Nyasha’s authenticity and bold self-expression—qualities that also drew recognition from IShowSpeed.
