Tinotenda Hove – Controversial Zanu PF-linked businessman Wicknell Chivayo has increased the cash reward for sungura musician Taruvinga Manjokota, popularly known as Sugar Sugar, after the musician endorsed President Emmerson Mnangagwa as “Mukuru Wemazuva.”

Chivayo made the announcement at the weekend, raising the amount Manjokota will receive from the previously announced US$10,000 to US$40,000.

The musician will also receive a brand new motor vehicle as part of the reward.

Chivayo said Manjokota’s comments had pleased him, particularly the musician’s praise for Mnangagwa and Zimbabwe.

“This is the feedback that makes me SO HAPPY zvimwe zvese NONSENSE,” Chivayo said.
He said Manjokota’s remarks about never having travelled in a car had also influenced his decision to increase the reward.

“Pakungoti MUKURU WE MAZUVA ndeimwe 10 thousand USD kuzo tenda E.D and speaking good about our country ndeimwe 20 thousand USD saka mari yakwira you will now get 40 thousand USD cash on collection,” Chivayo said.

He further reminded the musician to carry his driver’s licence when collecting the money.
