Tinotenda Hove – Honourable Vengai Chivaura recently distributed sanitary pads to young girls at a school in Ward 18, Mhondoro-Mubaira Constituency.

He said the initiative aims to support girls who struggle to access basic menstrual products due to financial challenges.

Hon Chivaura expressed concern that some girls resort to unsafe alternatives because they cannot afford pads, saying it is “sad that some girls end up using cow dung or other unhygienic materials as a replacement.”

He emphasised the importance of ensuring that every girl has access to safe menstrual products so they can attend school with dignity and confidence.
