Tinotenda Hove – Citizens leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa has reaffirmed his commitment to Zimbabwe, saying his motivation comes from a genuine love for the country and its people.

In a statement posted on Thursday, Chamisa acknowledged his own limitations but stressed that his focus remains on the wellbeing of Zimbabweans.

“GENUINE LOVE FOR ZIMBABWE.. I don’t claim perfection or all the answers. What I do have is a genuine love for Zimbabwe and a relentless desire to see every Zimbabwean free, happy, prosperous and thriving. Be blessed! ~nc #TheNew,” he wrote.

The message comes amid ongoing criticism from Zanu PF sympathisers, who have repeatedly ridiculed Chamisa over his political stance and messaging.

Despite the attacks, Chamisa has continued to position himself as a voice for ordinary citizens, framing his political vision around freedom, happiness, and prosperity for all.

His latest post ended with the hashtag #TheNew, a slogan he has used to signal a break from the country’s past political culture and a push for change.
