Tinotenda Hove – Members of the Zimbabwe Solidarity Movement today staged a demonstration outside the French Embassy in Harare condemning the deployment of French troops in Africa.
The protesters accused France of continuing to interfere in African affairs through military presence on the continent.
During the demonstration, the group called on France and NATO to stop what they described as sponsorship of the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War.
The activists also sent a message to Donald Trump and the government of Israel, urging them to halt what they described as imperialist aggression against Iran.
According to the demonstrators, the protest was meant to highlight concerns about foreign military involvement and global conflicts which they say negatively affect developing nations.
The Zimbabwe Solidarity Movement describes itself as a pan-African and socialist organization that opposes imperialism, dictatorship and capitalism, advocating for African sovereignty and social justice.
