Tinotenda Hove- Members of the ruling party’s Politburo are gathering today at the party headquarters in Harare for an Extraordinary Session to be presided over by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The meeting is happening while the country sinks deeper into economic collapse, with the local currency under severe pressure, prices rising daily, and hospitals and schools barely functioning.
Instead of offering a clear plan to rescue the economy, the ruling party has once again retreated into its headquarters for internal power games, factional battles and praise-singing.
For many Zimbabweans, these extraordinary sessions have become a symbol of misplaced priorities, where the elite discuss how to stay in power while ordinary people struggle to survive.
