Top Tech Convergence Forum on the Cards

Harare – Key figures from Zimbabwe’s technology sector will gather on November 7, 2025, for the second TechnoMag Tech Convergence Forum (TCF) to address critical industry issues.

The event set to be held at The Venue under the theme “Reflect, Reprogram, and Re-align,” will build on discussions from its inaugural 2024 edition. The Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Tatenda Mavetera, is scheduled to open the forum.

According to TechnoMag Founder Toneo Toneo, the forum aims to measure progress on past issues and foster “honest and sincere dialogue” on new challenges.

Key discussion topics will include: Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and AI
Starlink Distribution Challenges, ICT Policy, Tax, and Regulation, Mobile Financial Services and Digital Inclusion and Consumer Rights.

The forum aims to translate dialogue into action, focusing on implementing past recommendations on cybersecurity, digital skills, and payment systems. Registration for the event is available onlin

Confirmed participants include high-profile leaders from across the sector including those from the government and industry regulators. POTRAZ Director General Dr. Gift Machengete, RBZ officials, and ICT Parliamentarian Vusimuzi Moyo will attend the event.

Industry chief executive officers such as executives from Econet, Ecocash, NetOne, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, and TelOne are also set to grace the event. Experts and specialists in AI, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure and representatives from the US, EU, UN, and other embassies will also attend the meeting.
