Tinotenda Hove- A tragic road accident has claimed the life of a woman identified as Lizzy “Mai Tadiwa” Sitole, who died on the spot following a head-on collision near Gadzema in Chegutu on Saturday, 7 March 2026.

The fatal crash was reported by Crime Watch Zimbabwe on Sunday.

Family members said Sitole, a mother of three, had been travelling to sell goods when the accident occurred. She had recently turned to vending as a means of supporting her children after the death of her husband, Willard Sitole.

Her husband passed away on 11 February this year, leaving the family in a difficult financial situation.

Sitole is survived by three young children aged 11, 7 and 3, who are now left without both parents following the tragic incident.
