By A Correspondent -Harare Central Constituency MP Hon Lovemore Jimu has acknowledged the role played by community members and local leadership in supporting development initiatives across the constituency, saying collective effort has made it possible to implement various programmes.

Speaking this week, Jimu highlighted women empowerment initiatives, the refurbishment of Kambuzuma Community Hall and community feedback programmes as some of the activities being undertaken in the constituency.

“Some things are possible for me in this Constituency because of the people that surround me,” said Jimu, acknowledging the contribution of individuals and community structures working alongside him.
The initiatives reflect efforts to promote women’s empowerment, improve community infrastructure and strengthen engagement between elected representatives and residents.

The refurbishment of Kambuzuma Community Hall is among the infrastructure-related activities aimed at improving facilities available to local residents, while community feedback programmes provide an opportunity for people to raise concerns, share their views and engage on issues affecting their neighbourhoods.

Community leaders have also expressed gratitude for the initiatives, recognising the importance of collaboration between constituency leadership and local structures in addressing community needs.

Jimu’s remarks underline the role of collective participation in driving constituency development, with community leaders and residents remaining important stakeholders in identifying priorities and supporting the implementation of local programmes.
