Tinotenda Hove- Great Zimbabwe University’s 20th Graduation Ceremony has been thrown into chaos after a severe hailstorm destroyed the main graduation venue last night.

The venue, which was fully set up for tomorrow’s milestone ceremony, was extensively damaged as heavy hail and strong winds swept through Masvingo.

University officials had been making final preparations for the landmark 20th graduation when the storm hit, leaving the marquees collapsed and infrastructure in ruins just 24 hours before graduates were expected to walk the stage.

The university is yet to announce whether the ceremony will be postponed or moved to an alternative venue.
