Tinotenda Hove- A Zanu PF activist has enthusiastically welcomed the appointment of businessman and Senator Kudakwashe Tagwirei as Minister of Economic Development and Investment Promotion, describing him as the right person to lead the portfolio.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa appointed Tagwirei to the ministerial position on Wednesday night, while Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube was reassigned to the Ministry of Finance.

Reacting to the development on Thursday, a loyal Zanu PF supporter who identifies himself as Cde Walle strongly defended Tagwirei’s suitability for the job, arguing that his business background made him qualified for the role.

“YES, HE QUALIFIES. YES, HE IS THE RIGHT MAN FOR THE JOB,” Walle declared.
Congratulating Tagwirei on his appointment, the activist argued that Zimbabwe needed individuals with a record of taking action rather than merely making promises.
“Zimbabwe needs doers, not talkers,” he said.

Walle praised Tagwirei’s business ventures, claiming that the businessman had established enterprises, created thousands of jobs and continued investing in Zimbabwe at a time when others were allegedly withdrawing their capital.

“For years he has built businesses from the ground up, created thousands of jobs, invested in our economy when others were running away. He understands business, he understands the grassroots, and he understands what it takes to turn around an economy,” he said.

The Zanu PF supporter further portrayed Tagwirei as a businessman whose contribution to the country surpassed that of some individuals who had occupied public office for years.

“He is not a career politician chasing headlines – he is a proven builder, a strategist, and a patriot who has already contributed more to this country than many who have held office for decades,” Walle said.

He also insisted that the appointment was justified by Tagwirei’s business experience and alleged capacity to deliver results.
“This is an appointment based on merit, capacity and results. The right person at the right time,” he said.

Walle urged Zimbabweans to support the new minister, concluding his message with the appeal: “Let’s support him and let the work speak.”

He also used the hashtags #EDWorks, #Vision2030 and #Tagwirei to promote his message.
