Prominent businessman Dr. Kudakwashe Regimond Tagwirei has been officially co-opted into the Zanu PF Central Committee following the ratification of a recommendation made by the party’s Harare Province.
The endorsement took place on Wednesday during the 128th session of the Central Committee held at the party’s headquarters in Harare.
The Central Committee serves as Zanu PF’s highest decision-making body outside of congress, guiding key political and administrative matters within the party.
Dr. Tagwirei, who has long been associated with supporting the ruling party’s initiatives, is expected to join fellow party members in Mutare this week for the annual conference.
According to party sources, Dr. Tagwirei recently demonstrated his commitment to the party by purchasing 300 vehicles worth approximately US$23 million for use by Central Committee members.
