Tinotenda Hove – Zanu PF First Secretary President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa delivered a firm message to his detractors during the party’s 388th Ordinary Session of the Politburo in Harare on Tuesday.
Addressing party members, Mnangagwa condemned those he said were undermining national interests and ongoing development initiatives.
“Shame, shame, shame on all those who are denigrating our national interests, and ongoing people-centred projects and programmes,” he said.
He went on to reaffirm Zanu PF’s resilience in the face of criticism.
“We are ZANU PF, and will not be deterred. We reject the negative and harmful characterisations of our Party and country,” Mnangagwa added, emphasizing that the party remains steadfast in implementing its agenda despite detractors.
Political analysts suggest that Mnangagwa’s remarks signal a continued strategy to consolidate party support while countering opposition narratives ahead of upcoming national and local elections.
