Empty Chairs, “A Friend To All” Nonsense But Enemy of His Own People: The Curse of Mnangagwa

By Tafadzwa Munjanja- Talking of mediocrity on the international stage, no one does it better than ZANU PF dictator Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Presented with a global audience at the United Nations General Assembly, Mnangagwa chose to embarrass the nation with his empty “friends to all, enemy of none” at the grand stage.

Mnangagwa, as he often does missed an opportunity to articulate geopolitical issues affecting Zimbabwe and the rest of the African continent.

Simply put, Mnangagwa showed the world once again that he does not represent anything, let alone any ideological standing or inclination!

Mnangagwa lacks both oratory skills and ideological standpoint. Besides gobbling millions of US dollars with his big delegation to New York, no one will remember any of Mnangagwa’s empty speeches at UNGA in years to come.

No wonder why Trabablas had to address empty chairs!

As controversial as he was, Robert Mugabe used to seize the UNGA stage to share his political ideas. Even some of Africa’s dictators like Muamar Gaddafi and Emperor Haile Selasie left permanent impressions as far as UNGA addresses are concerned.

A friend to all but enemy of his own people!

Shockingly, in his empty speech, Mnangagwa said he is “a friend to all and an enemy to none.”

The old man forgets that charity begins at home and not in New York!

Who in their right senses would befriend a man who harass his very own citizens under the guise of an operation to clean the mess his government created?

Who in their right senses would befriend a Gold Mafia who bleeds his own country through corruption and money laundering?

As the so-called Operation Chenesa continues across the country, it is now time for citizens to resist the nonsense.

Vending is not the problem, the problem is Emmerson!

We can not let this corrupt regime ruin our livelihoods, fellow Zimbabweans.

Organize and resist!
