Tinotenda Hove – Nyaradzo Group has expressed deep sorrow following the death of Alice Pote, the 33-year-old owner of Stallion Cruise buses and long-serving Financial Director at Pote Holdings.
In a heartfelt statement released Thursday, the funeral services provider said:
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Alice Pote. For over ten years, she served as Financial Director at Pote Holdings, offering not just her expertise but her steady presence and quiet strength. Her passing is a deep loss to all who knew her — in the workplace, in her community, and in her family.”
Alice Pote’s death, confirmed by her brother Anthony Pote, occurred due to respiratory failure, leaving the Zvishavane community in mourning.
Widely respected for her leadership and business acumen, Alice was a key figure in both the transport sector and the family-run Pote Holdings.
“She was more than a sister — she was a pillar of strength for our family and the company. Her work ethic and dedication were unmatched,” Anthony said in an emotional tribute.
Tributes have continued to flood in, with many praising her as a fearless entrepreneur who broke barriers in a male-dominated industry.
“Alice was one of the few women making bold moves in the transport business. Her passing is a huge loss not just to her family, but to the entire Midlands province,” said a local businesswoman.
As condolences pour in from across the country, the legacy of Alice Pote lives on in the impact she made—not only through business, but through community upliftment and quiet, consistent leadership.
