Tinotenda Hove– A 32-year-old Zimbabwean national was arrested over the weekend in Barberton, South Africa, after authorities discovered explosives and a cache of medicine in his possession.

According to local police, the man was apprehended during a targeted operation aimed at curbing cross-border criminal activity. During the arrest, officers recovered unspecified quantities of explosives and various medical supplies, the origin and intended use of which are now under investigation.

The suspect is expected to appear in court soon, facing charges related to the illegal possession of explosives and potentially violating pharmaceutical regulations.

Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of links to broader criminal syndicates, and investigations are ongoing.
