Tinotenda Hove- May 2025 — The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange Limited (ZSE) has officially launched its much-anticipated market data platform, Data Direct, marking a significant milestone in the exchange’s digital transformation journey.

In a press release issued today, ZSE announced that Data Direct is now live, offering comprehensive and user-friendly access to both Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) and Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX) market data. The platform features end-of-day reports, historical data, and a View-Only Terminal (VOT) for live trading.

“The launch of Data Direct is part of our digital transformation strategy to ensure our stakeholders have easy access to market data,” the ZSE stated, underscoring the platform’s pivotal role in modernizing access to financial information.

Powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Direct is designed to cater to a broad range of users—from institutional investors to individual traders—by offering three flexible, subscription-based packages with durations of 3, 6, or 12 months.

“Through the support and positive feedback we received during the platform’s soft launch in April 2025, we were able to design a user-friendly and efficient platform that meets the needs of our investors,” the exchange noted, highlighting the collaborative approach that shaped the platform’s development.

Unlike existing platforms such as ZSE Direct and VFEX Direct, which focus primarily on facilitating trading, Data Direct consolidates market data from both exchanges into a single, unified portal. This move is expected to enhance investor decision-making through centralized, reliable information.

“With Data Direct, investors can access both the ZSE and VFEX market data on one platform,” the ZSE emphasized, presenting it as a value-added tool for market participants.

Accessible via the web at www.datadirect.zse.co.zw, the platform is integrated with the Paynow system, enabling users to pay for subscriptions using a variety of payment methods.

As Zimbabwe continues to embrace digital innovation in financial markets, Data Direct is poised to become a cornerstone in the country’s capital market ecosystem—providing timely, intelligent data access in an increasingly fast-paced trading environment.
