Tinotenda Hove – The Parliament of Zimbabwe recently hosted a delegation from Ghana’s Parliament for a benchmarking visit aimed at sharing knowledge on key governance and administrative practices. Discussions focused on budget control, financial procedures, internal audit, cybersecurity, and procurement.
The visit highlighted both parliaments’ commitment to enhancing oversight, accountability, and operational efficiency. Officials from both countries exchanged ideas on best practices and explored potential areas for future collaboration.
“This exchange provides an excellent opportunity to learn from each other and improve our parliamentary systems,” a Zimbabwean parliamentary official said.
Both Zimbabwe and Ghana’s parliaments expressed optimism about continued engagements, emphasizing that such visits strengthen bilateral relations and contribute to more effective governance.
The delegation’s visit represents a significant step in fostering parliamentary cooperation and knowledge sharing between the two nations.
