Tinotenda Hove – Zanu PF online activist Levison Chambati declared on Facebook Thursday: “Before December, we’ll be collecting our ZiG from the ATM, a clear sign that our economic reforms under the Second Republic led by President @edmnangagwa are delivering results for the people!”

However, critics warn that the Mnangagwa regime’s push to abandon the US dollar in favor of the ZiG currency could be disastrous.

Economists argue that such a move, without adequate safeguards and public confidence, risks further destabilizing Zimbabwe’s fragile economy.

Observers remain skeptical about whether ordinary citizens will see the benefits Chambati claims, especially in light of persistent inflation and a history of currency volatility.
