A shocking discovery has been made by Global DNA Zimbabwe, revealing that a staggering 72% of paternity tests conducted in the country indicate that the presumed fathers are not the biological parents. This means that a significant number of men in Zimbabwe are unknowingly raising children who are not their own.
The statistics show that only 28% of men who underwent paternity testing were found to be the biological fathers of the children they are caring for. This raises concerns about the emotional, financial, and social implications for these individuals and families.
The findings highlight the importance of paternity testing in Zimbabwe, particularly in cases where there is doubt or uncertainty about a child’s parentage.
