Tragedy struck at Mucheke Bridge on Friday morning, when two individuals tragically lost their lives while being transported by ambulance to Masvingo Provincial Hospital following a horrific accident.

A haulage truck’s side flaps unexpectedly opened, causing severe damage to a kombi that was entering the town. The collision left all passengers aboard with serious injuries.

According to police reports, two of the passengers succumbed to their injuries while en route to the hospital.

The crash led to significant traffic congestion at the bridge, causing delays for workers and shoppers heading into the central business district.
