Harare- Former Zanu Pf member Temba Mliswa has confirmed the humiliating removal of Kudakwashe Tagwirei by security details from attending Zanu Pf’s central committee meeting advising the party to address the ratification of new members into the central committee with dignity.
Said Mliswa:
” …..The decision to remove him through security smacks of unwarranted humiliation, especially when considering that he had been permitted entry by the same security.
One must question the wisdom of allowing someone in only to later subject them to indignity. This incident starkly illuminates the unfortunate reality of factional divisions within the ruling party , if not personal vendetta against him.”
Mliswa’s comment comes in the wake of reports that businessman Kuda Tagwirei was expelled from attending a central committee meeting yesterday.
However, the party’s Director of Information and Publicity, Farai Marapira is on record denying the report, which was first published by The Newshawks.
Mliswa called on Zanu Pf to revisit its conduct to avoid “current drama and conspiracies” and uphold party cohesion.
