The opposition party Freedom Fighters for Change (FFC) has launched a fierce attack on government policies, accusing authorities of failing workers and burdening citizens with excessive fees in the midst of a collapsing economy.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, FFC said it was time for decisive action to overhaul the country’s outdated labour laws.
“It’s time for change! Let’s amend the Labour Act, update outdated instruments, and renegotiate Bargain Agreements. The National Employment Council (NEC) needs a fresh look. Let’s fight for fair labour laws that benefit workers! #WeMove #LabourReform #FFC,” the party declared.
The movement also condemned the government’s licensing regime, saying it was unfair to struggling citizens in a nation with staggering joblessness.
“Stop milking us dry! Licenses expiring, economy failing, 95% unemployment… where’s the money supposed to come from? Time for change! #WeMove #LicenceJustice #FFC,” FFC said.
Adding to the chorus of criticism, the party insisted that Zimbabweans should not remain silent in the face of economic injustice. “Failed economy, expired licenses, and more fees? Not on our watch! Let’s unite and demand change. #WeMove #LicenceJustice #FFC.”
The Freedom Fighters for Change vowed to continue pressing for reforms that protect workers and relieve the burden on struggling families, positioning themselves as a voice for citizens demanding accountability.
