Tinotenda Hove – A Harare man was fatally struck by a speeding Jeep Cherokee near Sam Levy’s Village in Borrowdale while attempting to cross the road.

Witnesses said the pedestrian was walking from Pomona Food Court toward Village Walk when the Jeep, heading in the direction of Domboshava, tried to overtake another vehicle and hit him.

Police officers attended the scene shortly after the accident.

The tragedy comes less than two weeks after another fatal crash at the same location, where a motorcyclist lost control on a curve and collided with a commuter omnibus, dying instantly.
