Tinotenda Hove – A 20-year-old Victoria Falls man, Gift Thabani Lunga, has been remanded in custody by the Victoria Falls Magistrates’ Court on charges of unlawfully possessing dangerous drugs. The alleged offense occurred on April 22, 2025, around 10 pm.

Police officers, acting on a tip-off, searched a house in Chinotimba, Victoria Falls, and found 116 empty plastic sachets and 83 sachets containing 450 grams of dagga. The accused’s girlfriend, Sinikiwe Mangisai, who was present during the search, implicated Lunga as the owner of the drugs.

Lunga was arrested on April 30, 2025, at a shebeen in Chinotimba and is set to return to court on May 5, 2025, for further remand proceedings.
