The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has officially released the names of seven victims involved in a tragic road traffic accident that occurred on the 19th of March 2025 at the intersection of Bulawayo Road and Dzivarasekwa Road in Harare. The collision, which involved a Toyota Hiace kombi, a haulage truck, and a Nissan UD truck, took place at approximately 5:30 AM.

The death toll from the accident has tragically risen to eight. The ZRP has confirmed the identities of seven victims, as follows:

1. Zedi Chikomo (Female)
   Address: 3355, 13th Street, Dzivarasekwa 4, Harare
2. Mary Round (Female)
   Address: 1112, Mbudzi Street, Dzivarasekwa 3, Harare
3. Nyarai Meki (Female)
   Address: 263B, Dzivarasekwa 3, Harare
4. Sophia Machamba (Female)
   Address: 773/A, Dzivarasekwa 3, Harare
5. Enock Chanengeta (Male)
   Address: 773/A, Zororo Street, Dzivarasekwa 3, Harare
6. Blessing Banda (Male)
   Address: 1143/B, Gunyava Street, Dzivarasekwa 3, Harare
7. Takudzwa Musekiwa (Male)
   Address: 1034, Dzivarasekwa 3, Harare

The eighth victim, a male adult, has not yet been identified. The body is currently at Sally Mugabe Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.

In addition to the fatalities, 11 individuals sustained injuries in the crash. They are currently receiving treatment at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.

The ZRP has emphasized the importance of exercising caution on the roads, urging drivers to follow all traffic rules and regulations in order to prevent further loss of life. Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
