Tinotenda Hove – The Freedom Fighters for Change (FFC) political movement is set to officially launch on September 13, with party leader Michael Makaza declaring the day as the beginning of a new chapter in Zimbabwe’s political journey.

In a poetic statement, Makaza called on citizens to rally behind the party’s vision of unity, freedom, and national transformation. He said the launch would symbolize hope for a nation ready to break free from “chains and pain” to embrace love, peace, and progress.

Freedom in our hearts, a dream in our eyes… September 13th, the day is near. Join the movement, let’s bring hope and cheer,” he said in part of his message.

Makaza emphasized that the Freedom Fighters for Change movement seeks to inspire Zimbabweans to take ownership of their future by uniting for a common purpose.

WeMove, we rise, we unite as one… No more chains, no more pain. We’ll build a nation where love will reign,” he added, highlighting the party’s commitment to inclusive politics.

The launch event, branded under the hashtags #WeMove and #FreedomFightersForChange, is expected to draw supporters from across the country. According to Makaza, the day will not only mark the unveiling of the party but also the beginning of a people-driven movement determined to shape a better Zimbabwe.

“Join the chorus, let’s sing it loud. Freedom’s calling, let our voices be proud. We’ll stand together, hand in hand, building a future for our motherland,” read the closing lines of his statement.

The Freedom Fighters for Change say their priority will be building a more just, democratic, and people-centered Zimbabwe, while positioning themselves as a strong alternative to Zanu PF’s long-standing dominance.
