War veteran Blessed Geza on Friday evening broke his silence after months of keeping a low profile, delivering a scathing attack on President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s leadership.
Geza explained that he had chosen to remain quiet to allow Mnangagwa time to reflect on the demands he previously made. “I was giving Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa time to reflect on the demands that I made,” Geza said.
However, he claimed the opposite had happened, accusing the president of turning a blind eye to rampant corruption. “Instead, Mnangagwa is even adamant. Looting has reached another level. Kuda Tagwirei, Scott Sakupwanya, Wicknell Chivayo are stealing at will,” he charged, alleging that the ruling elite was enriching itself while ordinary citizens continue to suffer.
Geza also questioned the president’s physical capacity to govern, pointing to what he described as a worrying decline in health. “Mnangagwa’s health is deteriorating, he is unfit to lead,” Geza declared, warning that the country risks being dragged deeper into crisis under his continued rule.
The outspoken war veteran further hinted that unless urgent change takes place, more citizens will publicly demand accountability and a leadership transition.
