Tinotenda Hove-The newly emerging political movement Freedom Fighters for Change has issued a rallying call to Zimbabweans, urging citizens to unite in the struggle for justice, equality, and freedom.

In a statement on Wednesday, the group’s leader, Michael Makaza, declared that the time had come for Zimbabweans to rise above corruption, tyranny, and inequality.

“Fellow Zimbabweans, the time is now! We stand at the threshold of a new era, an era of freedom, justice, and equality,” Makaza said. “For too long, we’ve been held back by chains of oppression, corruption, and inequality. But today, we rise up and break those chains!”

Makaza emphasized that the movement would not bow to intimidation or political repression. “We, the freedom fighters for change, will not be silenced. We will not be deterred. We will not rest until our nation is free from the shackles of injustice and tyranny.”

The Freedom Fighters for Change envision a Zimbabwe where fairness and prosperity are shared by all citizens, not a privileged few. “We demand a Zimbabwe that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all. A Zimbabwe where every citizen can live with dignity, freedom, and hope,” Makaza said.

He also hinted that the official launch of the movement was imminent, promising that it would mark a turning point in the country’s political landscape. “The launching days of our movement are near, and we call upon every Zimbabwean to join us in this fight for change. Together, we will break the chains of oppression and build a brighter future for ourselves and future generations.”

In his closing remarks, Makaza called for unity and resilience in the face of adversity: “Let us march forward with courage, determination, and unity. Let us show the world that we will no longer be held back. The time is now!”

The movement’s rallying slogan — Unity in Action, Change in Motion — is already circulating online under the hashtags #WeMove, #BreakTheChains, and #FreedomFighters.
