Zvimba- Police in Zvimba District have launched a manhunt for robbers who got away with nearly S$30,000 from a wholesale store at Murombedzi Growth Point in the early hours of Thursday, July 10th.

According to a detailed statement released by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the violent incident began around 12:09 AM. Six unidentified men, armed with pistols and iron bars, targeted the wholesale business.
The gang first overpowered the security guard on duty. They then moved to the nearby residence of the store manager. Forcing entry into the house, they brutally assaulted the manager and stole his cellphone.
In a further escalation, the suspects forcibly marched the injured manager back to his office. There, they gained access to a safe and stole a substantial sum of cash amounting to US$29,700.
“The suspects force marched the manager to his office where they stole US$29,700.00 cash from a safe,” confirmed the ZRP statement, which described the case as a robbery investigation.
Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation and are urgently appealing to the public for assistance.
“Police in Zvimba are investigating a case of robbery… Anyone with information [should] report at any nearest Police Station,” the statement reads.
