Tinotenda Hove – Michael Makaza, the President in Waiting of the newly formed Freedom Fighters for Change, has called on Zimbabweans to rally behind the movement as it prepares for its official launch on September 13.
In a statement, Makaza urged citizens to put aside political divisions and embrace a new era of unity and healing.
“As the President in Waiting of the Freedom Fighters for Change, I extend a heartfelt invitation to you and your loved ones to join us on a historic journey towards healing, unity, and progress,” he said.
Makaza emphasized that the launch is not just about politics but about reshaping the nation’s future. “Our nation has been divided for far too long, and it’s time for us to come together as one family, despite our political differences. We believe that our diversity is our strength, and that together, we can build a brighter future for all,” he added.
He confirmed that the official launch of the Freedom Fighters for Change party will take place on September 13, describing it as “a chance for us to shape the future of our nation, to bury our hatreds, and to love one another.”
Outlining the party’s mission, Makaza said: “Our mission is clear: to unite all Zimbabweans and Africans, and to work towards a better tomorrow. We believe that every citizen deserves a voice, a chance to thrive, and a government that truly serves the people.”
In closing, he rallied citizens to support the new movement, declaring: “Join the movement. Join the change. Let’s work together to rebuild our nation, to promote love, unity, and understanding.”
The Freedom Fighters for Change is positioning itself as a new political force ahead of Zimbabwe’s next electoral season, promising a people-centered approach and a commitment to inclusivity.
