Harare- As the battle between lawyer Fadzayi Mahere and cabinet minister Tinoda Machakaire takes a new twist, Mahere’s legal team, Diza Attorneys, has issued a forceful response to defamation allegations from Machakaire’s lawyers, Prichard Attorneys.

Prompted by a demand letter dated July 7th accusing Mahere of defaming the Minister, Diza Attorneys’ reply on July 8th firmly denied any wrongdoing.This clash, probes the very limits of constitutional protections in the digital age putting into the limelight growing tensions over free speech, accountability, and social media’s role as a battleground for Zimbabwe’s public figures.
