My heartfelt condolences to the Nyarota family, relatives, friends, and members of the fourth estate.

I am deeply heartbroken by the passing of Geoff Nyarota, a man I held in the highest regard. His death has stung painfully, like a bee sting in my heart. Geoff was more than a mentor to me. He was a brother, a father, and a guiding light who sharpened my writing skills and shaped my voice. His wisdom, courage, and unwavering commitment to truth inspired me and so many others.

Zimbabwe has lost one of the finest scribes it has ever produced, a fearless journalist who spoke truth to power without fear or favour. His legacy will live on through his work and the countless lives he touched.

Rest in eternal peace, Geoff. Your voice may be silent, but your impact will echo forever.
