Harare- Zimbabwe Independent editor Faith Zaba has this morning been granted $200 bail by Harare magistrate Vakayi Chikwekwe.
As part of her bail conditions, Zaba, who spent 2 nights in custody, was told to report once a week at the nearest police station, surrender a valid passport, stay at the given address and not to inerfere with investigations.
She is facing charges of undermining the authority of or insulting the president following the publication of a satirical article published under the “Muckracker”, which allegedly criticised Preaident Emmerson Mnangagwa, the current chairman of the Southern African Development Community (SADC.
