In a shocking and disturbing case, Events Ncube (31) and Keylop Ncube (22) have been sentenced to 25 years in prison by the High Court of Zimbabwe in Hwange. The duo was found guilty of murdering 89-year-old Sibusisiwe Dube in a brutal and gruesome attack.

On April 1, 2024, Dube was drinking beer with Tapson Munsaka at Maphosa Business Centre. Meanwhile, the two accused were also at the centre, consuming beer. When Dube left the centre at 7 pm, the accused followed him and attacked him with an axe, striking him on the head.

In a horrific turn of events, the duo then transported Dube’s body to his home using a scotch cart. They placed his body in the kitchen hut and set it ablaze.

The charred remains of Dube’s body were discovered the following morning, burnt beyond recognition.
