Tinotenda Hove- Police in Harare have arrested Elijah Meskano (43) at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in connection with a high-value fraud case.

Meskano is accused of masterminding a fraudulent transfer of ownership of a Gletwin property worth USD 580,000. The scam came to light when the legitimate owner received Harare City Council bills reflecting Meskano and his wife’s names as the new property holders.

Authorities confirmed the arrest took place on September 23, 2025, and investigations are ongoing.
