The Harare Elite Junior Football Development League (HEJFDL) Acting Chairman, J. Ndlovu, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to the recent successful Under-14 tournament, highlighting a notable improvement in curbing age cheating and promoting genuine talent.

Ndlovu thanked coaches, managers, parents, and soccer enthusiasts for their commitment to youth development through sport, specifically football. He noted that the tournament showcased high-quality matches, particularly praising the final clash between Lions Academy and Power Academy.

“It was like watching our own local giants Highlanders FC vs Dynamos FC,” Ndlovu said. “Talent, entertainment, very good passing football—it was awesome.”

He also acknowledged the presence of well-known football personalities who attended the event, including Sir Chinyanga of Dreamers Academy, affectionately known as Sir Collins. Their attendance, he said, added inspiration and credibility to the junior tournament.

“For a start, it was wonderful. More improved tournaments are coming on fire this season,” Ndlovu promised, as he called for continued and increased support from all stakeholders to advance grassroots football in Zimbabwe. “We call upon all stakeholders to support sports in Zimbabwe for the betterment of development.”

The Acting Chairman also extended his congratulations to the HEJFDL executive team, the various clubs, and the parents who made the event a success, emphasizing that “standards, development, and vision are key to any success.”

The HEJFDL says it remains committed to nurturing young talent in a fair and competitive environment, paving the way for the next generation of football stars in Zimbabwe.
