Tinotenda Hove – MASVINGO – Zanu PF’s candidate for the Masvingo Urban Ward 7 by-election, Simbarashe “Gweja” Shonhiwa, on Thursday successfully filed his nomination papers at the Civic Centre in Masvingo City.

Speaking shortly after the nomination court session, Shonhiwa pledged to dedicate himself to the service of residents if elected.

“I am your servant and I will deliver,” he declared. “I will move in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, ensuring that development projects benefit our community.”

Shonhiwa expressed confidence in his party’s preparedness ahead of the polls. “Zanu PF is ready for the elections,” he said, adding that his campaign would focus on addressing service delivery issues, infrastructure development, and economic empowerment for Ward 7 residents.

The by-election is set to be a closely watched contest, with political parties expected to intensify their campaigns in the coming weeks.
