Geza Exposes Looting Spree In Zimbabwe

Tinotenda Hove – In a fiery exposé delivered in the wake of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), political activist and whistleblower Cde Blessed Geza accused prominent businessman Kudakwashe Tagwirei of orchestrating a far-reaching corruption scheme enabled by the highest levels of government.

Speaking on Tuesday, Geza alleged that Tagwirei has amassed wealth surpassing even telecommunications tycoon Strive Masiyiwa—despite lacking any tangible product or innovation to show for it. “You need to know how Tagwirei made money. First of all, he started with one service station called Takunda,” Geza explained. “Soon after that, we heard of Command Agriculture. We later discovered it wasn’t his money—it was government money he never returned.”

Geza claimed Tagwirei’s financial empire was built through a network of military-affiliated businesses, state resources, and manipulated debt write-offs. Among the assets he cited were the Sandawana emerald mine, shares in Great Dyke Investments, and interests in companies under liquidation—all allegedly funneled into Tagwirei’s hands with the blessing of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“After a year, he returned and said he was selling the whole of Kuvimba,” Geza continued. “By then, he had brought in his company CBZ Capital to re-evaluate it. Kuvimba was now valued at USD5.4 billion.” He alleged that this inflated valuation paved the way for Tagwirei and Mnangagwa to walk away with USD1.9 billion in “corrupt money” through the newly created state vehicle, the Mutapa Investment Fund.

The activist also accused Tagwirei of attempting to use his influence to co-opt religious institutions. “He’s now trying to buy the Seventh-Day Adventist Church,” Geza claimed, adding that the billionaire’s growing influence is mirrored by the crumbling state of Zimbabwe’s public institutions. “Now look at the country. Our civil servants are getting peanuts… someone without a Grade Seven certificate getting USD540 million for merely standing near Mnangagwa. How does that happen?”

Calling for national resistance, Geza urged citizens to take to the streets in solidarity with university lecturers and students currently on strike. “Family of Zimbabwe, unite together. Go on shutdown so that Mnangagwa may be sent home… Let’s unite to build our country,” he said in a passionate appeal.

He assured supporters that his movement was not just rhetorical. “Let me assure you as long as I keep coming to you, action is being taken. We are simply taking precaution to make sure that there won’t be loss of blood… our progressive forces are on the ground as we speak.”

As of now, neither Kudakwashe Tagwirei nor President Mnangagwa has publicly addressed the sweeping allegations leveled against them.
