The Honorable Minister of Mines and Mining Development in
Government of Zimbabwe
Harare, Zimbabwe
Dear Honorable Minister, Hon, W. Chatando.
Empowering Zimbabwe through Value Addition
We, the Freedom Fighters for Change, write to urge your government to prioritize investing in value addition for our mineral resources. By doing so, we can unlock the true potential of our minerals, stimulate economic growth, and create a prosperous future for our nation.
The Current State
Currently, our country exports raw minerals, missing out on the value that can be added through processing and manufacturing. This approach limits our economic benefits and hinders job creation.
The Proposed Solution
We propose that the government invests in value addition initiatives, such as mineral processing and manufacturing. This will enable us to:
Increase economic growth
Create jobs
Diversify our economy
Generate higher returns on our mineral resources
Benefits to Zimbabwe
By adopting this approach, Zimbabwe can:
Reduce its reliance on raw mineral exports
Develop a more sustainable economy
Enhance its global competitiveness
Improve the livelihoods of its citizens
Call to Action
We urge your government to consider the long-term benefits of value addition and invest in initiatives that will drive economic growth and development. We believe that by working together, we can build a brighter future for Zimbabwe.
Thank you for considering our proposal. We look forward to engaging further on this matter.
Sincerely,_-
Michael Makaza
(President)
