Tinotenda Hove – Freedom Fighters for Change leader Michael Makaza has called on young Zimbabweans to unite and take charge of their future in a passionate address on Saturday, August 23.

In a statement on Saturday, Makaza said, “Youths of Zimbabwe, it’s time to rise! We see your potential, we know your worth — educated, talented, and full of life — but struggling to survive in a system that’s rife with unemployment, desperation, and pain.”

The opposition figure highlighted the challenges facing young people, noting that many are forced into destructive paths. “Some are driven into darkness, losing their way. Prostitution, addiction, and jail cells await,” he said, before urging a decisive break from the status quo: “But we say NO MORE! It’s time to break the chains!”

Makaza invited young people to join the movement at the upcoming September 13 rally, emphasizing hope and empowerment. “Join us on September 13th, let’s unite and fight for a brighter future, where your dreams take flight. We’ll build a Zimbabwe where your potential shines, where opportunities abound, and hope redefines,” he declared.

The Freedom Fighters for Change leader concluded with a rallying call for collective action: “Come in numbers, let’s witness the birth of a new Zimbabwe, where youth thrive on merit. Let’s march towards progress, let’s make our stand, with Freedom Fighters for Change, hand in hand!”

Makaza’s appeal, tagged with #WeMove #FreedomFightersForChange #NewZimbabwe #YouthEmpowerment, underscores the party’s commitment to youth mobilization and calls for systemic change in Zimbabwe.
