Tinotenda Hove- A tragic road traffic accident along the Harare–Shamva Road has claimed four lives, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed.
The fatal crash occurred on October 1, 2025, near Madziwa Mine at the 71-kilometre peg. According to police, the driver of a Toyota Hilux, which was carrying five passengers towards Shamva, lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road and overturned several times before landing on its wheels.
Four passengers died on the spot, while two others sustained injuries. The bodies of the deceased were taken to Shamva Hospital mortuary for post-mortem, and the injured are receiving treatment at the same hospital.
Police have urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to road safety regulations to avoid such tragedies.
