A tragic incident occurred on Thursday when 62-year-old Josphat Mandishara, an employee of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks), was fatally trampled by an elephant in the Gatche-gatche area of Kariba. ZimParks spokesperson, Tinashe Farawo, confirmed the news, expressing the authority’s sorrow at the loss.
In a statement, Farawo said, “The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) is deeply saddened to announce the untimely death of 62-year-old Ranger Josphat Mandishara, who tragically lost his life after being trampled by an elephant in Kariba.”
