Tinotenda Hove – Young Zimbabwean socialite Ritzmcleish Strawbae, real name Michelle Moyo, has ignited a heated storm on social media after a video of her passionately chanting Zanu PF slogans surfaced on Facebook on Tuesday.

In the viral clip, the flamboyant influencer can be seen enthusiastically endorsing President Emmerson Mnangagwa, repeating the chant “ED huchii” while praising prominent figures in the ruling party.

“ED huchii. Special thanks to Mama Auxilia naMadzimai Lulu… You are special,” said Ritzmcleish Strawbae during her Facebook live session, which quickly spread across multiple social platforms.

The video has triggered mixed reactions among Zimbabweans, with some applauding her for showing loyalty, while others accused her of using politics for clout. Critics questioned her sudden alignment with Zanu PF, arguing that many socialites avoid political affiliations to maintain a neutral brand.

Despite the backlash, Ritzmcleish Strawbae has not issued any follow-up statement regarding her remarks. Social commentators say her move reflects a growing trend where influencers are stepping into political spaces, whether for genuine support or strategic visibility.

The debate continues to rage on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), with users divided over whether her comments were a bold expression of political freedom or a calculated move for attention.
